How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments you will need can only be determined once one of our laser technicians sees your tattoo and assesses it in person. Why is that? There is no set number of treatments – just as tattoos are unique to a person, so are the number of treatments. There are a variety of factors that come into play when determining how many treatments you will need, including age of tattoo, size, location, ink colors, depth of ink, and patient health.
Patients with a stronger immune system are more likely to need fewer treatments than those with weaker immune systems. Since your body’s immune system does most of the work in removing ink from your skin, people with healthy immune systems will remove more ink faster.
Does the procedure hurt?
Patients may experience some discomfort but nothing too painful. Many patients have described the feeling of the laser to having a rubber band snapped against the skin. Every patient has a different pain threshold and will react to the treatment differently than others. One thing is for certain, if you are able to get a tattoo, you will be able to sit through a laser tattoo removal session.

Are there any side effects?
The most common side effects to laser tattoo removal are temporary redness, swelling, scabbing or blistering, and lightening or darkening of the skin. Make sure to handle the treated area carefully after each treatment to ensure the best outcome for your skin.
